The Zenith Cairelli is the legendary and extremely rare aviator chronograph of the Italian Air Force and is presented here in unworn condition. Absolutely collectible and extremely rare.

These chronographs were delivered to the military via the intermediary A.Cairelli in Rome, whose signature "A.Cairelli Roma" is on the dial. This is one of approximately 500 watches sold to civilian customers – like the one presented here. The civilian version can be identified by the engraving on the case back: "Chronometro Tipo CP-2 A.Cairelli - Roma." The military version also bears the engraving "AMI" (Aeronautica Militare Italiana).

The excellent condition of this Zenith Cairelli makes it a first-class collector's watch. The case is sharp and unpolished, and the black dial is flawless. The black rotating bezel is also very well preserved. The original crown bears the NATO star. The hands and dial are perfectly preserved, as is the tritium luminous material on the dial and hands, which shows no signs of damage and has acquired a wonderful vintage color over time.
The Zenith caliber 146 DP is also untouched, but runs perfectly and is flawless in all functions
